Md. Safayat Hossain is an control systems & technology professional having extensive skills on Automation and Control systems development, System Integration, HMI/SCADA Configuration, Industrial Network and Communication, Project Handling, Field Installation, Fault finding and resolving the automation system problems more than 5 years. Presently he is working as Project Engineer at I S Systems Pty Limited, NSW, Australia.

He successfully completed the Bachelor of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (with Honours) from Victoria University, Melbourne, Australia & also achieved a number of relevant Certification and Training which includes:

  • Certified training course by Siemens on "Simatic S7 PLC Programming and Plant Maintenance".
  • Certified training course by Siemens on "Simatic S7 Distributed Safety Configuration and Programming".

Overview:

This training course is designed to provide a solid conceptual knowledge in Control and Automation system for future learning. It introduces students with little or no background to PLC systems. Students will learn to read and understand basic ladder logic, be aware of potential problems and hazards, learn to perform common procedures such as developing and editing programs, fault findings. The students will also learn how to connect to PLC systems and how to effectively, logically troubleshoot PLC system problems.

Course Details:

  • What is Simatic S7 System Family –> Familiarize with S7-200, S7-300 and S7-400 PLC and some input output modules.
  • The Simatic Manager and Hardware configuration – demonstrate the programming software, creating new project, configuring hardware using Simatic software.
  • Block Architecture , Binary and Digital Operation – Programming blocks,  Program Structure, Programming language, download blocks to PLC, binary logic (AND, OR),etc., Bit instruction, Timer, Counter, Flip-Flop, Real/integer value processing.
  • Data Storage in Data Blocks – creating data blocks, accessing and arrainging data elements
  • Functions and Function Blocks – developing, editing and calling Function and/or Function Block
  • Organization Blocks – Overview of the Organization blocks and purpose of usage.
  • Analogue value processing – Analog value scaling, and using in the programme.
  • Communication – Overview of Communication via MPI, Profibus, Ethernet, Wireless
  • Troubleshooting – Fault finding and the solutions
