Certified Information Technology Manager (CITM)

Course Code:

With few exceptions, companies today rely on IT for the delivery of business-critical services, often directly to the end consumer. IT-Managers are facing the constant pressure to deliver (new) hi-availability services at an ever increasing faster pace and rate of change.

Good IT management has the ability to assess the value and level of risk associated with operations and large scale projects, finding ways of realizing potential and minimizing risk, and being able to see the business strategy through the eyes of the senior management team. This in turn helps identify ways in which technology can support their vision.

Realizing these objectives requires an extensive fundamental knowledge in a diverse area of topics and hence training is inevitable to make it happen; IT-Managers have to be multi-tasking having to deal with the daunting task of understanding technical complexities at the high level. Equally important, they need to be fully aware, understand, and to be able to manage other key aspects such as people, corporate governance, risk, finance and many other disciplines.

While there are no specific prerequisites, participants who have at least two years of actual working experience in IT with knowledge of systems, network and/or application management are best suited.
